This course examines the principles of ballistic, forced entry, and blast resistant design, along with the standards, testing methods, and performance criteria used to evaluate protective building systems. Participants will review the design considerations behind security glazing, doors, panels, framing systems, and other protective assemblies, while gaining practical guidance for selecting and specifying solutions appropriate for a variety of project types. Real world applications and case studies demonstrate how integrating these technologies can improve life safety, building resilience, and long term performance.
