About the Provider
The National Terrazzo and Mosaic Association, Inc. is a full service Non-Profit Trade Association headquartered in Fredericksburg, Texas. The association establishes national standards for all Terrazzo floor and wall systems and provides complete specifications, color plates, and general information to architects and designers at no cost.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be introduced to terrazzo, it's components, and rich history. They will learn about the advancements made in the installation of terrazzo.
- Attendees will hear about the benefits of terrazzo as a sustainable, durable material that is also low maintenance. They will be shown examples of terrazzo's unlimited design capabilities.
- Participants will see photos of 100-year old terrazzo that has been restored to like-new condition as well as floors restored after a flood. They will see examples of adaptive reuse projects involving terrazzo.
- Attendees will see examples of vertical applications of terrazzo, both poured-in-place and precast. They will understand divider strip requirements and placement along with surface preparation.
